Mark Binder is an author, a storyteller, and a nice guy. More than 200 of his stories for young and old have been published in magazines, anthologized in books, and used on standardized tests. He is the author of the award-winning collection, "A Hanukkah Present." His "Bedtime Story Book" collection is a multigenerational masterpiece with more than 50,000 copies in print. His novel, "The Brothers Schlemiel" was serialized weekly in print for two years, and is due to be released in hardback in 2008. He is a former editor of the Rhode Island Jewish Herald, an award-winning recording artist, the founder of the American Story Theater, and teaches a college course in "Telling Lies."
He has been co-editor of The Rhode Island Jewish Herald,
and editor-in-chief of Food Distribution Magazine. He has
written thousands of non-Þction articles for newspapers and magazines.
He holds a third-degree black belt in Aikido, the Martial Art
for Peace. He promises not to throw anyone across the room. Mark
lives in Providence, RI with his wife, Alicia, and two sons, Max
and Harry.
