Why do you only offer a return after the first $100 of sales?

We are a small company and have found that if we offer discounts on fewer than 10 items, it costs us more than the price of production and distribution. We are happy to ship individual copies and smaller orders at full price. Or you are welcome to use services like Amazon.com or order through your local bookstore or school book distributor.

How far in advance do I need to place an order?

Ideally we'd like to get your order in 30 days prior to any event. In reality, that rarely happens. Fourteen days lead time will certainly guarantee that all books and audio will arrive in time for an author signing. When we sell out, we will ship copies to you.

Can we place an order on the day of the event?

We always try to have books on hand for same-day sales. We often have enough books and audio to handle sales. Sometimes we run out. Any orders collected on the day of an event will be processed and shipped as quickly as possible.

What about after an event? Can we order books then?

Of course!

We've only collected orders for 9 books totalling $90. Can you give us a discount?

Nope. Sorry. We wish we could, but if we did it for you, then we'd have to do that for everyone. The simplest solution is to order another book and give it away as a prize at your next PTO meeting!

 

Who do we make checks out to?

Please make checks to "Light Publications."
Some institutions prefer to have parents make checks out to them, and will then write a lump-sum check to us. This is fine, too. You may white-out "Light Publications" on the "Pay to" section on the order form and write your school's name instead. We ask that you please triple check the orders and financials prior to sending us your order.

 

Do we send you the order forms?

We find that it works best if you send a COPY of the order forms, and keep the original. That way, when the books arrive, the correct books can go to the correct students and faculty.
